Promote Your Events on the Florida Heritage Month Calendar

March 4, 2011

This year, the offices of Governor Rick Scott and Secretary of State Kurt S. Browning have once again planned a month-long tribute to heighten awareness of our state's rich cultural heritage, celebrating the historical sites, folklife, museums, libraries, archives, and the visual and performing arts that flourish in the state of Florida.

This special celebration is designed to encourage an understanding and appreciation of Florida's commitment to supporting historic preservation, arts and culture, and libraries as important fiscal tools that create economic vitality, quality of life, and community pride.

We invite your organization to participate in the eighth annual Florida Heritage Month by promoting your events, exhibits, festivals and/or other activities with a complimentary listing(s) on the online Florida Heritage Month Calendar of Events.

Events posted on the online calendar should take place between March 15 and April 15, 2011. The online calendar will be promoted to Florida residents and prospective visitors nationwide.

We encourage yours to be one of many public and private organizations to benefit from the exposure of this month-long celebration by completing the form. Complete the form at: www.floridaheritagemonth.com/submitEvent.cfm.

Unlimited listings may be submitted for consideration. Organizations with eligible events will receive a notice of approval, along with the official Florida Heritage Month digital logo to include on printed materials and websites. Don't miss this opportunity for complimentary exposure for your March and April events.

Eligible listing(s) for the Florida Heritage Month Calendar of Events should be:

  • Significant to Florida heritage, arts or culture
  • Open to the public (list any admission charges or associated fees)
  • Designed for family participation
  • Appropriate for audiences of all ages

Thank you for joining us in this celebration of Florida's rich and diverse heritage!
